COURTNEY, Norma Jean "Betty", b:1925, d:1952

My Mother Norma Jean COURTNEY died when I was 5m old. She was married twice. Once to Harold Arthur COULTER around 1940 and to my father in 1947. Before getting married to Harold COUTLER, she lived with foster mother Mrs. Lela BROWN (she was previously married to a Floyd PLUMMER). Floyd and Lela had two daughters Rose and Nina.

I can find Floyd and Lela in 1910, 1920 Census, but by 1930 he had remarried to a Catherine J. ?????? Rose and her husband Deane W. DORSEY are living with Floyd in Quincy, IL (later she married a CORNETT then a MOLOTA). While Nina is working in Hannibal, Missouri as a servent for Harry F. Wurzburger(later she married a HADEN, then a DAVIS). Lela I can not find, nor can I find my mother either listed as COURTNEY or BROWN. Also checked for her under the name "Betty" as that is a nic-name she used (not sure why). I can find my grand mother (Norma's mother) Cora Belle ALLISON/ARDREY/COURTNEY/SMITH either in the 1930 census (last time I can track her is in Moberly when her father William M. ALLISON died in 1928.

I'd like to make contact with anyone that might know of any of thes people. The general area they were in is Adams/Pike County Illinois and Randolph/Monroe/Pike County Missouri.

I'd like to fill in the missing years from when she was born in Quincy, IL to when she married Harold COULTER. Thanks for any help you can be!

-- Jim
